All of the staff at Holmside are carefully selected and have the caring qualities needed to keep the home running as a happy supportive environment.

The number of staff on duty at any one time and the total weekly care hours provided is in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Department of Health.

In addition to the registered managers there is a senior care assistant and three care assistants sharing the duties. There is also a domestic who is responsible for the cleaning of Holmside.

All staff regularly receive training in Food hygiene, First Aid, Safe Handling of Medicines, Fire Safety and Infection Control.

For the protection of the residents we operate a rigorous recruitment process including Criminal Records Bureaux checks and checks against the POVA (Protection of Vulnerable Adults) list.
